Inventor's Center Lesson Description: This lesson is the introduction of one of the centers for the TAB classroom. The TAB classroom gives full choice to the student about what they want to create and what medium to use. They have full control over their own artwork and are therefore extremely engaged in the art making process. The standard day has 4 different parts to it. At the beginning of class the teacher gives a mini lesson or demonstration on a possible project idea, next the students are released to work time where they can chose to either do what the teacher has just demonstrated or work on whatever they would like to, then they must clean up and each student is responsible for whatever they got out or used and finally the students gather together to share and reflect on what they have made. In this lesson the students were introduced to the materials and the different choices they had with working 3 dimensionally. The mini lesson consisted of cardboard manipulation and attachment techniques and then they were set free to work with whatever material they took a liking to.
Textile Center Lesson Description: This lesson is the introduction of another center being opened in the TAB classroom.
